Wedding Wednesday – Teeth Whitening

It’s Wedding Wednesday.

On Wednesdays, we will post a little piece of advice we have learned during our 30+ years of experience in the wedding industry.

Today, let’s talk about teeth whitening.

When we edit your photos, if your teeth are severely discolored, we are going to try and fix some of that. However, it makes it MUCH easier for us, and you’ll get your photos back in less time if you go ahead and whiten your teeth ahead of time.

What we as photographers are looking for is for BOTH people to whiten so that the results will be virtually the same for both the bride and groom. So, if one of you has more stains/discoloration, he or she may want to begin whitening a little sooner so the color of both sets of teeth is close to the same.

My friend Tessa Schirm started selling this toothpaste that most of her family have used and absolutely loved! If you haven’t tried it, you need to! Comment below if you want a tube and I will get you in contact with her for it.

The product works by using a mineral derivative to gently lift stains from the teeth without damaging the enamel. It also contains a polymer that protects and prevents new stains from forming. It contains fluoride so it completely replaces your normal toothpaste for easy whitening – just one simple step. $25 for one or $45 for two! Each tube is 4 oz and will last you about 2 months when used twice a day.

More information about preparing for your wedding day photography is available in our Julie Mancini Photography Posing Guide, which is free to everyone who books with us.
