We ask every couple to incorporate at least 30 minutes into their wedding timeline for formal photos. Usually that takes place right after the ceremony. Sometimes, we do them before the ceremony, or a some before and some after, depending on what you want. Usually, an after-ceremony session includes getting family done first, and the bridal party, and then just the bride and groom.
We ask that we are provided with the timeline at least two weeks prior to the wedding, so we can ask any questions that we might have and discuss any concerns we might have.
Most wedding timelines are very similar, and there’s usually a logistical reason for that. We can help you a little on your timeline if you don’t have a coordinator. But we prefer that you have some sort of plan rather than just “going with the flow.” We have been to weddings that were pure chaos!
We don’t mind if you are running behind by 10, 15 or even 20 minutes. We just like to know that there’s a plan.
We love incorporating a little bit of time for sunset photos into your wedding timeline!
We also love it if we can get sunset photos, like these of Shiyanna and Dylan at the Back 40 Barn, incorporated into your timeline!
And, if you’re really concerned about your wedding going according to plans, you may want to consider hiring a planner to make that happen. We most frequently work with Sam at The Grateful Table, and we are stunned by her work ethic, passion and creativity!
